PETER RAINER
Peter Rainer teaches at the University of the Arts Berlin and at the Julius-Stern-Institut for the Promotion of musical Nachwuchsförderung. His core task is to lead the training of the next generation of young violinists at the renowned music high school Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, which belongs to the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. Peter Rainer is co-founder and concertmaster of the Kammerakademie Potsdam and the international chamber orchestra “I Palpiti” in Los Angeles. In addition to solo appearances with the Kammerakademie Potsdam, he regularly conducts concerts and CD productions as concertmaster. He studied with the violinist Max Speermann in Würzburg, trained by Max Rostal, and later with the Russian violin pedagogue Dr. Eduard Schmieder at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, USA. After returning from the USA, he was the principal concertmaster of the Brandenburg Philharmonie Potsdam. As a passionate chamber musician he performed with the Persius Ensemble, which he co-founded, as violinist of the Max Brod Piano Trio, with colleagues from the Kammerakademie Potsdam, and with his musical partners at numerous festivals. In addition to his concert appearances, for many years he has designed, produced, and hosted interactive concerts for children and families.
