The winner of numerous music prizes Elena Veronesi, hails from Italy, the picturesque town of Bazzano, near Bologna.
As a passionate chamber musician, she today pursues an intensive concert schedule with various ensembles. Recently she gave concerts in her homeland in the Sala Maffeiana of the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, the Sale Apollinee of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Sala Esedra of the Theater Museum Alla Scala in Milan, and she also regularly performs internationally in Germany, Austria, and France.
Among the prizes she has won at international chamber music competitions are the third prize at the Fischoff Competition 2020, USA; the first prize at the international competition “e-Muse,” Greece; and the second prize at the international competition “ENKOR,” Germany, and in 2018 her name was among the finalists of the Brahms International Competition in Austria.
Elena Veronesi is the clarinetist of the Quantum Clarinet Trio, which she founded together with cellist Johannes Przygodda and pianist Bokyung Kim. In 2022 the trio was invited to record an album for Deutschlandfunk Kultur, which was released in September 2023 on the Hänssler Classic label. The trio is among the artists selected for the Gioventù Musicale d'Italia 2024 concert series.
As a soloist, she has received numerous international awards and prizes, including the second prize at the AudiMozart Competition! 2016. She performs with various chamber orchestras and regularly works with the Amadeus Consort Salzburg ensemble. In 2022 she was selected for the Art Patronage program of the Italian association Musica con le Ali, which advocates nationwide for the promotion of the best young musicians.
In addition to her chamber and solo activities, playing in orchestras is also an important part of her professional life. She is frequently invited as a solo clarinetist with the Georgisches Kammerorchester Ingolstadt in Germany and the Salzburg Chamber Soloist Orchestra in Austria. She has performed under several famous conductors, including Juraj Valčuha, Hans Graf, Justus Frantz, Donato Renzetti, and Daniel Oren, and has had the honor of appearing in the most beautiful concert halls, such as the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, the Jiangsu Grand Theatre in Nanjing, China, and the Arena di Verona. She maintains ongoing collaborations, among others, with the orchestras of Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, the Arena di Verona, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, the Leonore Orchestra in Pistoia, and the Philharmonie der Nationen in Hamburg.
In 2009 she earned her clarinet diploma at the G. B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna and continued her studies with Professors Giovanni Riccucci and Calogero Palermo. After completing her studies in Italy, she earned her Master of Arts in Clarinet Performance at the Mozarteum University Salzburg in 2016, under Alois Brandhofer, with unanimous distinction from the commission. She also completed a postgraduate course at the same university in 2018 under Professor Andreas Schablas, with distinction.
In 2021 she was selected for the prestigious European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA Pro) and has since participated as a chamber musician.
Since 2021 she has worked as a clarinet teacher at the Landesmusikschule Oberösterreich and conducts masterclasses and seminars in Austria as well as in her homeland Italy.
